kabel eins is searching for Germany’s best party band. The bands, that heat up the crowd at wedding receptions or town parties.
The jury consists of music manager Anja Lukaseder, MTV pioneer Steve Blame, as well as singer and TV-host Oliver Petszokat. They will be choosing the best party bands among the hundreds of applicants.
Host is Kim Heinzelmann. When asked if and how the format is different from casting shows, she replied: “We don’t just want to find new talents, or make people look foolish. We have people, who have been making music together in their spare time for years. It’s about fun, music, people making music with heart and soul and of course the honor of the band. Everybody is eager to be Germany’s best party band!”
In five shows the hobby musicians will be facing the jury’s vote. The ones, who proved themselves at the “reality checks” [f. e. at a fair or in a ski lodge] and during the “live checks” in front of the studio audience, will be advancing to the next round. For the grand finale, the three strongest groups will be competing against each other in the final round to ultimately become ’Deutschlands beste Partyband’. The show’s winner will also get the chance to perform alongside “The Scorpions” at the Tui-Arena in Hannover. Furthermore they will also get 10,000 Euros for their band’s cash box.
In ‘Deutschlands beste Partyband’ the viewers will be able to get to know the bands away from stage. What are they doing in their everyday lives? Which challenges to they have to face?
The big fight for the party band trophy starts on 11th April and will find its big finale on 16th May on kabel eins – Sun, at 08:15 p.m.
