N24 opened a new chapter in their channel history. On October 22nd the news-channel broadcasted for the first time out of the new studios at ‘Potsdamer Platz’ in Berlin. From that day on, N24 produces their daily life-programme on a totally new technical platform, which conforms to today’s highest requirements. The TV- and online editorial departments are completely connected with each other. This means that the news will be issued for TV, Online and mobile serviced at the same time. Thereby N24 becomes faster, more flexible and more efficient than ever before. As a result, the channel strengthens their position on the market as the number 1 News channel in Europe and creates the possibility of even more growth in the future.
Europes most advanced news-channel studio aroused in approx. 7,400 m² and ten month. A glassy studio in the middle of the room dominates the open-minded atmosphere of the channel. The studio was designed by the American Set-Designer George Andrus, who has specialised his work on news-studios. N24 produces the 24 hour programme at the new location on ‘Potsdamer Platz’ as well as the daily news for Sat.1, ProSieben and Kabel 1.
N24 used his start of broadcasting for the conversion to the new format 16:9. According to that, N24 is the first German private channel, which broadcasts his programme in the new format.
