Munich, July 24, 2008. Klaus-Peter Schulz, 49, will join the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG from September 1, 2008 as Head of Sales & Marketing. He will be responsible for sales, marketing and research in German-speaking countries, as well as for the coordination of international sales activities. Schulz is succeeding Peter Christmann, who left the company at the end of June 2008.

On his appointment as Board member in charge of Sales & Marketing, Schulz said, “The digital media world is evolving faster than any other industry sector. ProSiebenSat.1 has everything that’s needed to successfully combine the on-air and online realms, and to introduce the audiovisual content of strong brands on all platforms. What we need to do now is position this asset more decisively on the market.”
After completing his university studies in political science, Schulz initially worked as a journalist before joining Initiative Media in 1988. In 1992, he took a job in Bremen with Kraft Foods as their manager of media and advertising before going to Sat.1 in 1996 as director of sales and services. In 2000, after the merger of the Sat. 1 and ProSieben marketing companies, he became Managing Director of SevenOne Media, which is now the marketing subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1. From 2001 through February 2006, Schulz was CEO of OMD Germany, the fastest-growing media agency in the country. He then took over as CEO of the Germany-based BBDO Group. From early 2008; he has acted as a consultant to the BBDO Group.
