Thomas de Buhr appointed new Senior Sales Director International of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group

Thomas de Buhr, 39, previously European Buying Director and member of European Management at the media agency Initiative Media, will switch to the ProSiebenSat.1 Group on  January 1, 2008. As Senior Sales Director International in the management division Sales & Marketing, he will be responsible for the international advertising sales of the pan-European TV Group. Thomas de Buhr will report to Peter Christmann, Chief Sales Officer of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group. In his previous function as Director Sales International, Uwe Kastens, 48, will be Thomas de Buhr’s vice director.

The International Sales division comprises the development and customer care of multinational customer accounts, which are already active on several markets of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group. Another focus is the international exchange of customer relationships with the goal of providing active support to advertising customers when broaching new advertising markets within Europe. The third pillar comprises advertising customers which are headquartered outside the countries of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.

After concluding his studies of Business Education, Thomas de Buhr set out on his professional career in 1994 with the Masterfoods Group, where he was most recently employed as manager and responsible for procurement and the planning of advertising measures in Germany, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. In 2002, he moved on to the RTL marketing company IP Deutschland as Sales Director Special Ads; in 2006, he was promoted to Sales Director for the area IP Solutions and at the end of 2006 he switched to the media agency Initiative Media.
