Andreas Bartl, 42, becomes the new managing director of the station and will take over the new function as of now. The previous managing director of ProSieben, Dejan Jocic, 33, leaves the company due to different opinions about the future orientation of the station.
Andreas Bartl has been managing director of the station kabel eins until now. A new managing director for kabel eins will be appointed in the course of the next weeks. In the meantime Andreas Bartl will stay responsible for the management of the station.
Andreas Bartl studied communication science, political science and American studies in Munich. He then worked as journalist and film editor. Bartl came to ProSieben in 1991. In 1995 he took over the management of the movie editorial staff. He became area director of program planning in 1996 and associate program director in 1997 until being appointed managing director for kabel eins in October 2000.
