1st quarter 2004: TV-Marketer with good results
April, 2004 For the 1st quarter 2004 SevenOne Media has achieved a good result with its marketing activities for the stations Sat.1, ProSieben, Kabel 1 and N24. The sales house increased the gross turnover of Sat.1, ProSieben, Kabel 1 and N24 by 5.8 percent compared to last year’s 1st quarter, achieving altogether 759 mill EURO based on Nielsen Media Research. With this result SevenOne Media extends its market leadership in the German TV-advertising market and stays clearly ahead of IP Deutschland [RTL, Vox, Super RTL, n-tv] achieving a gross advertising market share in the 1st quarter of 43.6 percent against IP Deutschland’s share of 37.2 percent. Besides an optimal pricing and a fair price / performance ratio, mainly the good program performance of the four stations brought to the market by SevenOne Media was responsible for the successful 1st quarter 2004. For Sat.1 especially the Champions League, 'Der Bulle von Tölz' and the docu-crimes in the access prime time ['Lenßen & Partner','Niedrig und Kuhnt'] contributed to the success. ProSieben mainly scored with the three blockbusters 'Der Schuh des Manitu', 'Independence Day' and 'Evolution'; furthermore the 'Wok-WM', the series 'Die 100 nervigsten...' and the TV-Movies on Thursdays were very successful.
